On the other hand it is full of the very fashionable umami taste and seaweed apparently contains naturally MSG...<br />I have lots of second-hand cookery books and one of them, written I think in the 70s by a Chinese chef, who emigrated to the US, has MSG in most of the recipes ingredients list!
