You will find my daily food diary, my favourite food photo and food blog of the day and tried and tested recipes. The recipes are mostly easy to prepare and good to eat with influences from different parts of the world. You will find Kyrgyz plov, Swedish pytt i panna and New Zealand Afghan Cookies. But Why?
Why my food diary? I like to keep a record of what I eat so 100 years later I can go online and see what I ate on a particular day. And have a good laugh perhaps? I wonder how that would be. 100 years ago gnocchi, dulce de leche and gravad lax would have sounded like funny words, not yummy dishes. Not 100 years, actually 10 years ago I didn't know what these dishes were. Perhaps 100 years from now lovo/hangi, hárkal and surströmming would be popular delicacies. I doubt it but we never know.
I also believe that blogging about what we eat makes us more conscious and influences our eating habits.
Why Only Three-Cookies?
I try to eat only three cookies, try being the operative word. I start by eating only three and then...you know the rest of the story. Sometimes I don't even try because I know I will fail.
Who is Three-Cookies?
Three-Cookies is me. I live in the Northern Hemisphere, quite far north, and come from the Southern Hemisphere. And I almost have a second home in one of the Asian countries, for business reasons. My food reflects my background - confused, scattered and mixed:)
My profession is finance and law. While I tremendously enjoy cooking and baking I am hesitant to leave my current profession because I love it also. I am working on a plan to do both.
