Penne with salmon caviar sauce |
Today's Food Diary
Breakfast: Rolled oats with linseeds
Lunch: Penne with salmon caviar sauce
Dinner: Rice, soybean and mixed vege pilaf
After a couple of days of dull eating I finally had nice meals, and even cookies. The cookies were made from frozen dough which I prepared more than a week ago. I’ve already said this before but freezer and refrigerator is such a great invention. Today I baked just three cookies and they were ready in around 20 minutes if I also consider the time it took for the oven to heat.
The salmon caviar sauce was made with milk and cream with just a small amount of oats to thicken it. It was simple and nice.

An interesting and useful article titled “how to increase omega-3s in your diet”. Omega-3s are good for your brain. The recommendation is quite simple, eat flaxseeds. Flaxseeds are also known as linseeds.
Whole seeds are difficult to digest because of the hard shell and they may just pass through, so it is better to use ground seeds. And don’t eat more than 3-4 tablespoons, there is some medical explanation discouraging excess consumption.
I eat linseeds almost everyday for breakfast so this is no news for me, but maybe this is useful for you to know. Unfortunately I cannot attest that it is good for the brains, I am still waiting for the results.
