Bulgur Salad |
Breakfast: Rolled oats with banana, sunflower seeds and flax seeds
Lunch: Bulgur salad
Dinner: Flat bread with oven roasted tomatoes
Baking/sweets:
The bulgur salad was fantastic, light, refreshing and filling. The mustard dressing gave it a nice kick. Unfortunately the salad was not very photogenic, however it made up for it with its good taste!

Food research is interesting but sometimes I wonder about certain results. Today I read that pomegranate juice could reduce stress in the workplace, according to new research. The study found that having the drink every day resulted in lower stress hormones and a reduction in blood pressure.
The effect of daily consumption of 500ml of Pomegreat Pure pomegranate juice was studied over a two-week period by researchers at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. All 60 volunteers reported being more enthusiastic and less distressed after having the drink. The research leader said "On the basis of these findings there is a justified argument for busy workers to drink pomegranate juice to help alleviate chronic stress and maintain good health”.
And here is the most interesting part: “the study was funded by the Pomegreat drinks company”!
I wonder if volunteers were fed free bacon and cupcakes everyday, whether it will reduce stress and make them happier. It certainly would make me happy and perhaps reduce my stress. Anyway, without questioning the validity of the research, pomegranate is healthy.
