Today's Food Diary
Breakfast: Rolled oats with figs
Lunch: Thrice cooked chips, tomato chickpeas and pickled cucumbers
The thrice cooked chips were how they were supposed to be – crispy on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside. Single cooked chips are nice, twice cooked chips served by McDonalds for example are nicer, thrice cooked chips are at the pinnacle. Thrice cooked chips are usually served by higher end places which use superior ingredients and probably use goose fat for frying, and this makes a difference.

Weirdly, weer was nice (trying saying this quickly, after some weers). It is bit like shandy, adding sweetness to beer. Using wine also increases the alcohol percentage, which is probably not such a bad thing. I would not try this with premium wine though.
|Pork curry, rice and flatbread|
Dinner was pork curry, rice and flatbread. Perhaps a bit unusual New Years eve dinner but it served the purpose well.
