Chocolate polenta brownie, Irish Stew and Inner City Farm

Daim Double Chocolate Polenta Brownie

Today's Food Diary
Breakfast: Missed
Lunch: Blackbean and mixed vegetables in tomato sauce with pasta
Dinner: Red curry pork and potato with rice

The Daim Double Chocolate Polenta Brownies was chocolatey, chewy and crunchy. It was one of the chewiest and crunchiest brownies I have ever had. Chewy and crunchy is a bit of a contradiction since generally speaking chewiness requires a softer texture while crunchiness requires a harder texture. Theory aside, the brownie had both textures. The recipe is available here

Huffington Post has a really really long post about a roof top garden in Brooklyn. The farm is being operated on a commercial basis and it supplies vegetables to a few neighbouring outlets. An inner city farm is an interesting concept. And how sustainable it will be is yet to be seen, at the very least the good intentions are there.
