The Chicken McNugget pictured below resembles President George Washington and it was recently sold for $8,100 on eBay, even though it is three years old.

Rebekah Speight said her children did not eat the chicken during a McDonald's visit three years ago. But when she was about to toss it, she spotted its resemblance to George Washington. She stored the McNugget in her freezer and, three years later, decided to auction it on eBay. eBay temporarily took down the auction last month because it violated rules regulating expired food. Luckily Speight later received an email saying the site was 'willing to make exceptions to help your cause'.

I guess there are a few lessons to be learnt. McDonalds can benefit you in ways that you never expect. Don’t throw away food blindly. And check the bins for leftovers thrown away by other customers. You never know what you will find.

  1. I don't think there is such a thing as expired food from McDonald's. I think most McDonald's fare would outlast a nuclear war.

    1. Hahaha, probably true. So that nugget was probably still edible, though too expensive to eat

  2. Hehe ... Angela said it right! Now I will start staring at each piece of nugget before I eat it ... not that I ever order or eat any ... guess I won't get rich that way.
That braised pork looks yummy! Think will make that for dinner tonight. Thanks for the inspiration. (I always have a problem, (everyday) wondering what to cook for dinner.)

    1. This is an incentive to start eating nuggets and other fast food:) Actually not eat but buy and look at it first but not for too long as it may turn cold

  4. What delicious looking braised pork. McDonalds should be more careful with the way they shape their nuggets!

  6. The braised pork looks luscious! I bet it's pork belly or spare ribs... The fatty parts I adore.
This is the most incredible insane buy I have ever heard about.
