Today's Food Diary
Breakfast: Boiled egg with chilli polenta bread
Lunch: Pasta and blackbeans with tomato crème fraiche sauce
Dinner: Spicy sautéed liver and lightly smoked sausage with rice
Baking/sweets: Chilli polenta bread

Lunch was a quick and easy but delicious one pot dish. Tomato paste and crème fraiche is a great combination.

Today I finally posted the recipe for a simple banana jam here. I still have a backlog of recipes to post.

Huffington Post has a video showing the preparation of pig liver crème caramel. Doesn't this make you excited? The pig liver crème caramel is not a dessert but a savoury dish. According to the chef this dish started off as a joke after it was said that they could make dessert out of anything. They didn’t quite make a dessert though they could omit some of the savoury ingredients such as mushroom, add more sugar and serve it at the end of the meal.

This dish reminds me of the most memorable dessert I have ever had which I describe here.
